Meet the Team

Project Managers

Each of these guys oversees the entire build of the homes under their purview. We call it “Trees to Keys.”

You’ll meet the one assigned to your build at your first design meeting. They’ll meet you at your lot to discuss house placement and then from there line up contractors at each phase. They become an expert on your house and work closely with each trade to implement all the decisions you made with the design team.

  • Owner

John has spent his entire career in either engineering, land development, or home building. He knows a thing or two because he’s seen a thing or two, and he is a master problem solver. He personally mentors the project managers, so they are equipped to oversee your build. His connections within the community and industry run deep—the majority of our subcontractors and tradesmen have worked with John for decades. He leverages these relationships for our clients and with John setting the standard for how we treat people, you know you are partnering with someone you can trust.

The Design Team

  • Owner

Michele joined Heritage over 20 years ago and has been an integral part of developing the business relationships alongside John. She has an uncanny ability to understand the root of a problem and get to an answer quickly. Our project managers are mentored by her as well. You will likely first meet Michele at the pre-contract meeting once you’re far enough along in the process to have settled on a plan and a price. She joins that meeting to begin understanding your family and your needs. From there, you’ll see her at each design meeting as we sit around the table and dive into the details of your house and your selections.

  • Marketing and Design Director

Christi is the one who developed our processes designed to cut through the overwhelm. Having built two Heritage houses herself, she designed and refined the process of making decisions and selections as she walked through them for her own homes. Our unique process will help you focus on the task at hand without being distracted by the many other decisions still to come. You’ll first meet Christi at the pre-contract meeting with Michele. Once you are a client, she will facilitate all your design meetings with detailed options, ideas and graphics, or photos that help you visualize each decision.

  • Marketing and Design Team

Elise’s lifelong passion for interior design has evolved over the last 20 years (including owning her own interior design business). She joins Christi and Michele at each design meeting—helping listen to clients’ dreams so we can discern how to bring those to life. Where she really shines is in the places of uncertainty when clients don’t know how to express what they want. We often hear clients say at the end of the process when Elise is photographing their interior palette, “This is what I didn’t know I wanted… and it wasn’t nearly as hard as I thought it was supposed to be.”

  • Design Team

Jennifer is more than “just” a Heritage team member… she is a previous client. Fresh from the journey of selecting the finishes for her own beautiful home, she understands the stress of wanting to get it just right… and the value of a dedicated team to help you feel confident about your decisions. You’ll meet Jennifer at your cabinetry design session and then she will be there with Christi and Elise to help you choose paint and tile at the final selection meeting.

The Sales Team

  • Sales Director

Kirk will guide you through the contract process. From floor plan selection to financing—and everything in between—his goal is to get your questions answered or get you connected to the right people who can. Just like John and Michele, Kirk has been part of the greater Brazosport community all his life and is also deeply connected to people and businesses. For you, this means even deeper assurance that you are working with someone who values relationships and people and is worthy of your trust.

  • Sales Team

Terri will be the one you talk to first. She’ll ask questions and help you get started down the path toward a proposal and floor plan that fits your budget and needs. She’ll set up meetings at each stage of the contract process to help you get your questions answered so you feel confident and comfortable with what we are building. Her positive and friendly personality makes her a client favorite… they are still talking about Terri even as we close and turn over the keys.

The Support Team

  • Permitter

Sierra will be your favorite early on as she handles all the red tape (so you don’t have to). From septic permitting to HOA architectural approval—and everything in between—her no-nonsense approach to corralling city and county employees is intensely valuable. She’s a huge part of what makes your experience as a Heritage client hassle-free.

  • Drafter

Bob is also behind the scenes editing our floorplans for clients, so they are specific to each family’s goals. He has an eye for detail and never shies away from asking questions to determine if we’ve found the “best” answer for a problem or need.

  • Office Manager

Margaret is usually behind the scenes making sure people are connected and bills are paid. She is not just the office manager, but John’s daughter as well. Margaret manages all of our invoices and works closely with John to ensure the financial aspects of Heritage are running smoothly.
